TIMES OF LONDON’S “BRIT IN NYC” WANTS TO KEEP SEAN A SECRET

From the Times of London / Megan Agnew / (read original article)

I cannot believe I am watching my fingers type this on to a page but I think that my biggest single outgoing, after paying my rent and buying flights back to the UK, is my hair. When I lived in London, the extent of my spend was a train ticket back to Wiltshire so my mum could give me a cut with a pair of kitchen scissors (true). In New York, let’s just say things have escalated.“And do you have any assets acquired during your time in America you might need to declare for tax purposes?” I will be asked by some grey accountant when I eventually move back to the UK. To which I will simply beam with pride and swish my hair across my shoulders, its front sections perfectly shaped around my face with a little bounce at the roots, glossy right down to the tips, and it will be met by rapturous applause. My recent investment has been encouraged by a wonderful man called Sean at Fourteenjay in Tribeca, whom I wrote about for this magazine a year ago, saying his was the best haircut of my life, and it remains that way each time I return. (Please don’t book to see him.)
