How We Work at Fourteenjay
At Fourteenjay, we believe hairdressing is a craft. One that takes dedicated practice to refine and hone. Each of our established service providers has been hand-picked to work at this location and all have a minimum of 10+ years of experience. Our newest team members are being raised in the tradition of craft hairdressing and are mentored directly from our brilliant, masterful and oh-so-talented Fourteenjay education team.
We are a departmentalized salon, which means our hair colorists are dedicated specialists in hair color and color finishing, while our hair stylists are experts in cutting and styling hair, along with extension and keratin treatment services.
DAVID
Co-owner. Hair Colorist. Educator. Certified Consultant Trichologist. David has an international pedigree in editorial hair color for film, fashion and music. He is passionate about creating beautiful, healthy hair color and providing exceptional guest service and education on how the scalp and hair work as part of one unified eco-system. A master in creating ultra-personalized, ultra-healthy hair color results.
MICHELLE
Hair Colorist. Michelle has two decades of experience that have taken her from Honolulu to New York, Milan, London, Berlin and back, giving her world class hair color, high-lighting and finishing skills. She is super nice, super talented and super committed to creating a relaxing and highly personalized guest experience.
DEANNA
Hair Colorist. Nutritious Life Certified. We call her our “Balayage Queen” – and she does so much more. Along with being a brilliant master hair colorist, Deanna loves connecting the power of living a healthy lifestyle to creating beautiful hair color. Deanna’s passion lies in helping you to create an image for how you want to look and feel – from the inside out.
MARIEL
Hair Colorist. Mariel is a hair color powerhouse specializing in balayage and blondes. She brings her extensive experience to every hair color service looking for the best way to create the most beautiful, healthy, strong and shiny outcome possible. She takes care to educate every guest on all of their hair color options and always creates a signature experience to ensure an outcome uniquely designed for you.
JOHN
Hair Stylist. John is one of our hair cutting and styling master-craftsmen. He is passionate about designing a hair image that perfectly suits your lifestyle. Like all of our stylists, he works side by side with our colorists to ensure that color and cut work hand-in-hand. He has a world-class reputation for his wig, hairpiece and extension work and is also highly skilled in keratin treatments and texture services.
TAYLOR
Hair Stylist. Fourteenjay Educator and Cutting Coach. Taylor digs deep into the consultation process to ensure that your hair cut or styling service (or extension service or keratin treatment) deliver a great hair day for you every day. His passion for education shines through in your “in the chair” experience and continues long after you leave the salon with customized follow-up and how-to styling tutorials.
LOGAN
Hair Stylist. Logan joins us with 11+ years of experience behind the chair and a heart filled with passion for the craft of hair cutting and styling. She loves working with guests to create an image for how they want to look and feel. In addition, she is a highly trained, highly respected educator and member of the Aveda North American Artistic team. Brilliant technical work plus a happy-go-lucky spirit. That’s Logan!
SEAN
Hair stylist. Sean joins us with over 14 year of experience behind the chair and in hair cutting/styling education. He is nice. He is talented. He brings a deep level of care and enthusiasm to his work behind the chair. Plus, he loves making his guests look and feel great.
CHANDANIE
Hair colorist. Chandanie has completed her extensive Fourteenjay Hair Color Training program, having been mentored and guided directly by David and the Fourteenjay Hair Color Team. Chandanie loves hair color! She is both an exceptional technician and a hair color artisan. That means that your hair color will not only be executed to technical perfection, it will suit your hair and lifestyle perfectly.
DERRICK
Hair Stylist. Early in his career Derrick became a trusted stylist for the Oprah show, going on to train widely in the US and Europe. After working extensively in the editorial world, Derrick brings his skills to his work behind the chair at Fourteenjay. His vision is to excel as a team member and leader, delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding the highest standards of technical excellence.
XANTHI
(Zan-thee) Guest Care Team Leader. Xanthi is our Conductor-in-Chief, the person who ensures that every guest interaction – from the phone, via email, check-in and check-out meets or exceeds your expectation. At Fourteenjay, we care deeply about our guests and the quality of the experience we create. Xanthi’s role is orchestrate a seamless interaction for every guest, every visit – something she does with grace, ease and a simply beautiful smile!
RONIN
Guest Care Coordintaor. Ronin’s caring heart and passion for service shines through in everything he does at Fourteenjay. As a key member of our Guest Services Team, Ronin is there to great you, assist in booking appointments, help you over the phone and make sure your entire experience is handled with an extra serving of TLC.
RENEE
Housekeeping. You may not see Renee, however, you can definitely see, feel and smell the impact of her work. Renee makes sure that our salon is continuously and spotlessly cleaned. She roams the salon floor with a watchful eye, making sure you have everything you need – a gown, a towel, a cup of coffee – when you need it. With Renee on board, you can rest assured that our “best-in-class” cleaning protocols are being meticulously upheld and your cappuccino is perfect.
